Routine Appointments

Please book in advance with the doctor or nurse of your choice.

Routine appointments are available with all GPs and practice nurses, although not all GPs and nurses work at Potterells on any one day. Both morning and afternoon appointments can be booked up to six weeks in advance. Appointment times are variable as we try to adapt them to need.

Routine evening appointments are available on Mondays

Same Day Appointments

We have a duty practitioner rota to accommodate patients in need of medical attention that same day. If required you will be seen by the appropriate practitioner on the same day. You may be seen by a doctor or our qualified Nurse Practitioner.

Please telephone to request a same day appointment if you feel your problem cannot wait for a routine appointment. Please book in advance in all other circumstances.

Saturday and Evening Opening

Pre-booked appointments are available for certain evenings and Saturday mornings. Appointments will be open to all, and we hope that this will appeal particularly to those who are working during the week and have previously found it difficult to see the doctor.

Appointments must be booked IN ADVANCE. Doctors will not be available for walk-in or emergency care of any sort. If you require this you must contact the Out of Hours Service in the usual way. Please do not embarrass our receptionists by asking.

Appointments will be available every Monday evening and every other Saturday morning.

Telephone Appointments

Advice and many queries can be dealt with over the telephone. All the doctors have time set aside for telephone appointments. If you wish to speak to a doctor please telephone the surgery and a receptionist will be able to arrange an appointment time when the doctor can call you back.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
